Thank You For Your Help.

Every donation makes a difference!

Every day, we see the benefits of taking our long-term approach to helping children and young people build the necessary skills to stay off welfare for life. However, because government funding is based on turnover, we are underfunded compared to other services. A four-bedroom short-term crisis refuge is granted over half a million dollars more than St Laurence House each year.

Additionally, our extended programs – the semi-supported unit for two young people and the STAY intensive living skills program – are entirely funded by donations.

There are many ways you can support us, whether it’s through a donation, sponsoring a child, making a bequest, or donating your time or goods.

How Does Leaving A Gift In Your Will Work?

By leaving a gift in your will, you will make a long-lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.

If you already have a Will but would like to leave a gift to St Laurence House, you can do so by making a simple addition to your existing Will. This is called a codicil. If you do not have a Will, you can simply include a bequest when you create one. Whatever your circumstances, we advise you see a solicitor to ensure your wishes will be followed and let us know.

Some options include leaving:

  • A percentage of your estate.
  • The residue of your estate. After you have taken care of loved ones, you can leave us the whole or part of what remains of your estate.
  • A specific gift in your Will. You can give a specific amount of money or items such as shares, paintings or property.
  • A gift through a perpetual trust to provide long term and ongoing support.
