SLH Youth Services runs events to raise awareness of our service and as fundraising opportunities. All funds raised at events go directly toward continuing to run this service, maintenance and improvements.
We invite you, your family and friends to join us as St Laurence House celebrates 50 years of supporting young people experiencing homelessness.
This year we’re using GalaBid to make our fundraising event even more fun and interactive! With a quick registration, you will be able to purchase your tickets and start exploring the auction items ahead of the event.

Shrove Tuesday Event- Pancake Night
Pancake Night 2026 was our biggest yet, with 100 people from both parishes coming together for good food, good company, and a whole lot of community spirit.
The generosity in the room was extraordinary. We raised over $8,000 towards supporting young people at St Laurence House
Thank you to everyone who came along, cooked, served, flipped, baked, laughed, and supported. We couldn’t do this without you!
A Conversation
4 June 2025
Ten years ago, St Laurence House hosted a powerful dialogue asking: Are we empowering young people to meet future challenges?
In June this year we revisited that question with a new generation of insights, voices, and vision. The conversation was led by an inspiring panel-
- Lila Mularczyk OAM, JP, an award-winning advocate for public education
- Paul Nicolaou, Executive Director of Business Sydney and vocal champion for ending homelessness
- Moderated by Richard Cogswell SC, former President of the NSW Mental Health Tribunal
Together, they explored the tough realities our young people experiencing homeless face today. This event wasn’t just a conversation; it was a call to action.
St Laurence House proudly unveiled our vision for Leap House—a bold initiative to establish a semi-supported accommodation program tailored for young people.
Leap House will enable us to expand our services and offer young people experiencing homelessness another opportunity towards independence.
While still in its early stages, the idea has already received heartfelt encouragement and interest from our community of supporters.
Thank you so much to our guest speakers and attendees.
